Tag Archives: Jaymes Young

Exactly one month ago, I posted about an awesome cover of Haddaway’s “What Is Love?” by a guy called Jaymes Young.

He has now come out with a free album/mixtape/project/whatever-you-want-to-call-it download.  13 tracks of “weirdo post-apocalyptic bedroom-R&B” as PMA described it (best genre description ever) which includes the aforementioned Haddaway cover and a cover of Justin Bieber’s “As Long As You Love Me” alongside a host of original tracks.

Sounds like: Mike Posner singing on a track with The Neighbourhood that James Blake produced

The whole lot can be downloaded at

While it’s hard to pick out favourites (really, every track deserves a bit of love) here’s a few samples to give you a taster.
